Volvo Car Corporation, a Swedish legal entity with registration number 556074-3089 with address Assar Gabrielssons Väg, SE-405 31, Gothenburg, Sweden, hereinafter referred to as “Volvo Cars”, “we”, “our” and “us”,, will as controller process your personal data as described below.

 

Purpose and legal basis for processing

The personal data processed about you is as follows, if internal employee: full name, digital contact information, account type, manager, department number, building code, and if external user (e.g. consultant, supplier or dealer): full name, email address, site code, partner category and preferred language.

 

The purpose of our processing of your personal data is to administer access rights related to persons’ identities for Volvo Cars’ facilities and IT landscape. The legal basis for the processing is performance of a contract, as this processing is necessary for identifying employees and external users (e.g. consultants, supplier or dealer) in order to enable them to conduct their job. Furthermore, the legal basis for the processing is legitimate interest, as it is in Volvo Cars’ interest that the employees and external users can access some certain sites in order to e.g. facilitate meetings, keep track of which users have conducted which compliance training or for audit purposes see who implemented a certain change in an application.

 

 

Disclosure / Recipients of your personal data / Transfer

Your personal data will only be disclosed within the Volvo Car Group. In relation to parts of the Volvo Car Group located outside of EEA, we will transfer your personal data with the basis of the Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission.

 

Retention time

For internal users, we will retain your personal data for a period of ten (10) years. For external users, we will retain your personal data for a period of eighteen (18) months after last time of your use. External users have the right to ask your personal data to be removed before the eighteen months has passed by raising a request to Service Desk +46-31-59 10 00. After the retention period, your account will be deleted and some of the basic user data will be archived, in order to ensure that same CDSID will not be used for future new accounts. For audit purposes the name related to the CDSID is also archived.

Your rights and contact information

You have the right to request a copy of the personal data that we store about you. We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. Please do not hesitate to ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to have your personal data deleted and to have our processing of your personal data restricted in certain circumstances. In addition you have the right to object to our processing of your personal data as well as to receive your personal data, which you have provided to us, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to have these transmitted to another controller. If you are of the opinion that we are processing your personal data in violation of privacy laws and regulations you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority.
